Q: When does the band rehearse?
A: Typically, the band rehearses Monday nights from 7:15 pm to 9:15 pm.

A: The recital will: 1. Let PCB members experience the joy of making music in a slightly different format than we usually do. 2. Give the members a musical goal to work towards. 3. Improve the band. 4. Foster the formation of ensemble groups.
Q: Who can participate?
A: Any PCB member. Ensembles may include non band members. Accompanists need not be band members.
Q: Who can come?
A: Friends and family are welcome. The general public and press is not invited in order to make this a relaxed venue for our members.
Q: What kind of music can I play?
A: Anything you like! Classical, pop, swing, jazz, sacred: play the music you like, or have always wanted to. The only rules, and they're flexible, is to limit the duration of the piece to 5 minutes, and use band instrumentation (wind instruments and percussion).
Q: Do I have to play the instrument I play in band?
A: No. (Hmmm, interesting question....)
Q: What if I'm not good enough to perform?
A: There is no such thing! This is a recital, not a performance. You're welcome (and encouraged!) to challenge yourself and then give us the best you've got. If that's a highly academic, tour de force, virtuoso piece, fine! If that's the Bb scale, even better!
Q: What will the band provide?
A: Organization of the recital, a program, a stage, chairs, stands and a piano. We also hope to tape the recital program. If you need anything further, such as a sound system to play a pre-recorded or MIDI accompaniment, contact the recital organizers and we'll see what we can do.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Just send by email or give to one of the band officers a list of the information shown in the example on the Recital page of this web site, or see Tom Shaddox at any band rehearsal or performance!
